[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth regarding school holidays

In connection with yesterday's announcement of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus and the wish of the Archbishop of New Justinian and All Cyprus, Mr. George's request that his name day cease to be a school holiday, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MPAN) clarifies that no decision has been taken on its behalf to exchange this holiday for the 7th of January.

A decision on this issue will be taken after consultation with the partners of the Ministry of Social Affairs and taking into account the position of the Holy Synod.
