[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Defence regarding the change of leadership of the National Guard

The Director General of the Ministry of Defence, Mr Andreas P. Louca, on behalf of the staff of the Ministry, expresses his warmest thanks to the outgoing Chief of the National Guard and true friend of Cyprus, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, who has handed over the baton of leadership, leaving behind him a rich and important work in the context of our efforts to strengthen the defensive armour of Cyprus and enhance the deterrent power of the National Guard.

At the same time, welcoming the new Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas, we wish him success in the honourable and demanding mission he is undertaking and we assure him that the staff of the Ministry of Defence will be at his side, making every effort to further strengthen the defence and deterrent capabilities of the National Guard, in order to ensure the defence and security of our country.
