From 26 to 29 August 2023, within the framework of the Summer Training Course of the School of Naval Cadets (SND), the frigate Spetsai and the PIG PROMETHEUS docked in Limassol harbour, in order to conduct a programme of educational and etiquette activities by the students in Cyprus.
Specifically, on Monday, 28 August 2023, the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis received, at the General Headquarters of the General Staff of the National Guard, the Commander of the School, Rear Admiral Sasiakos Christos PN and the Captains of the two ships. During the meeting, the Chief, after being informed about the program and the activities included in the HNP, congratulated and thanked the Administration of the HNP for the excellent educational work it performs in terms of the formation of seamanship and professional training of the future Officers of the Greek and Cypriot Navy.
In the evening of the same day, the Commander of the SND hosted a reception on board the "PROMITHEUS", in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs Mrs. Marina Hadjimanoli, the Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, the Director General of the Ministry of Defence Mr. The programme of the School also included a visit to the Prisoner's Memorials and the Military Cemetery of Makedonitissa, where there was a briefing on the history of the monuments and wreaths were laid, paying tribute to those who died in the struggle for freedom of the Republic of Cyprus.

The SND also visited the "LIDRA" Observatory, where it received information, as well as other cultural and historical sites in the DR.
On Tuesday, 29 August 2023, with the departure of the two ships, an aeronautical exercise called "PN/DN - 03/2023" took place, which was co-organized by the Naval Command, in cooperation with the Hellenic Navy and in which the National Guard, the Pathet IOANNIDIS and AW-139 of the Air Force Command participated.
The scenario included Tactical Movements and Advanced Manoeuvres, technical exercises, Search and Rescue objects with helicopter cooperation and was concluded with a salute ceremony between the ships.
