[PIO] Announcement by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy on the operation of the new Automated Customs Export System

The new Automated Export System-AES of the Department of Customs goes live today, December 18, 2023. The new system replaces the existing Export Control System and covers the electronic submission of export and re-export declarations, notifications and Exit Summary Declarations.

The operation of the new Export Control System was an obligation of the Republic of Cyprus, as a Member State of the European Union, to harmonise with the Union Customs Code, which sets out the general rules and procedures applicable to goods entering or leaving the customs territory of the EU, adapted to modern trade models and communication tools.
