[PIO] Announcement by the Department of Public Works for the execution of works on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway

1. Grass collection and removal of rubbish on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway

The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 09/09/2023, between 05:00 - 09:00, work will be carried out for the collection of grass and removal of rubbish on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway (A1) in both directions.

During the works, traffic will be directed to the left lane.

2. Maintenance of emergency gates on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway

The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 11/09/2023 until Thursday 14/09/2023, between the hours of 21:00 - 5:00, emergency gate maintenance works will be carried out on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway (A1) in both directions, between stage C.S.P. and the junction with the Nicosia - Larnaca Motorway (A2).

During the execution of the works, the express lane will be partially closed for a length of approximately 500 m (in both directions) and traffic will be diverted to the other two lanes.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show due understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
