The Commissioner for Rural Payments, Mr Andreas Kyprianou, is pleased to announce that he has started the payment of subsidies related to the Agri-Environmental Schemes (Measure 10) for the year 2021.
Specifically, on 17 January 2022, a total of €2,722,206 was transferred.88 to the accounts of 4600 applicants, while at the same time the processing of the remaining applications continues, so that the relevant subsidy will soon be paid to all beneficiaries participating in the Agri-Environmental Schemes of the Rural Development Programme.
Kyprianou also states that the main strategic pillar of the Cyprus Rural Payments Agency is the support of the farmer himself, each applicant for agricultural subsidies individually and as a whole, which is why the staff of the Agency is always at the farmers' side to avoid any mistakes that lead to delays or penalties.
The Agency is determined to provide all possible and legal assistance to the Cypriot farmer so that the objective of zero loss of European funding is fully realised. At the same time, it should be stressed that the Agency's main concern is to ensure valid and timely payments.
