In view of the implementation of the provisions of the Akamas Local Plan from 1 September 2023, the Ministers of Interior and Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Mr.
The framework of measures was formulated by a Working Group with the participation of all relevant Departments and Services of the Ministries involved, under the coordination of the Department of Urban Planning and Zoning.

The aim of the framework of measures is to strengthen the socio-economic activity of the communities of Akamas, in such a way as to create the appropriate conditions for promoting sustainable development in the affected communities, while ensuring the protection of the environmental element of the area.
The framework of measures consists of a total of 11 actions, as follows:
[*]Granting a subsidy to landowners for five years based on the area, due to the contribution of rural land parcels to the protection of the landscape of The amount of the extensification grant will be €60 per decare with a ceiling of €6,600. [*]Design and implementation of basic road network in Residential Zones. [*]Establishment of an Akamas Local Coordination Office, with the aim of strengthening, informing, supporting, creating synergies and empowering the Local Communities and the population with actions, programmes, projects and the development, enhancement and promotion of the area, acting as a local development mechanism. [*]Creation of an Industrial Area within the administrative boundaries of the Community of Inia. [*]Utilisation by the Community of Ineia of the visitor service hub of the Akamas National Forest Park in the South Gulf of Lara. [*]Utilisation of sea salt in the area of Lara within the Akamas National Forest Park by the Community of Ineia, subject to conditions to be set by the competent authorities. [*]Exploitation of the Rocks of Inia for climbing activities, under conditions to be set by the competent Services. [*]Study for the recording, mapping and promotion of the stigmas. [*]Coverage by the State of part of the operating costs of the community infrastructure/monuments of the Acama Communities for a period of 5 years.
10. Consideration of the possibility of establishing or relocating a Livestock Area within the administrative boundaries of the New Village Community.
11. Financing a number of needs-based utility projects by the Communities.
The proposed measures will be implemented with a time horizon of 2028.
By adopting the measures, the socio-economic activity of the Communities will be enhanced, the protection of the environmental element will be achieved and conditions for sustainable development of the region will be created.

Finally, it is noted that the Ministers of Interior and Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment held a detailed briefing of the Local Authorities of the affected Communities at a meeting held on 28 August 2023, in the Community of Druzeia.
