The Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, given the high demand for the "Grant Scheme to encourage the use of RES and EE.E in residences 2024-2025" and especially for the new category A3 "Photovoltaics for All", urges consumers to carry out the required market research so that they can make the most advantageous choice.
In this direction, it is noted that the price should not be the only criterion, since particular attention should be paid to the performance of the photovoltaic system and its other technical specifications. Given that more than 100 Participating Marketers will be included in the lists of the Scheme, many alternative options are offered to consumers. Therefore, proper market research is necessary to make the best possible choice for each consumer.
It is clarified in this regard that the total amount of investment covered by the Scheme is up to €5,000 and that any expenditure beyond this amount will have to be paid by the applicant directly to the Participating Trader. Consumers are therefore advised to note that, based on the applications received by the RES and EE Fund in the past year, it is noted that there is a wide price variation and that systems within the specifications and amount covered by the aid are available on the market.
