It is my great pleasure to be with you today for the inauguration of the pedestrian bridge on Giannou Kranidiotis Street. This new infrastructure connects the parking areas with the Municipal Hall of Latsion-Gerios, a place that serves the citizens and, due to the Municipal Theatre, hosts important cultural events and children's performances. The pedestrian bridge we are inaugurating today marks an important step in the development of the area and reflects the commitment to improving the daily life of the residents.
The completion of the pedestrian bridge, with a total contract cost of almost €281,000, has already elicited positive reactions from the local community. This new infrastructure is not only a project that enhances the area, but also a practical solution that improves the connection between critical points in the region, enhancing safety and accessibility for all citizens. The success of this project demonstrates the commitment to creating infrastructure that improves the quality of life and serves the real needs of citizens.
The pedestrian bridge has been built to the latest specifications and standards, ensuring safe and comfortable passage for pedestrians.
Particular emphasis has been placed on accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Lifts and ramps were constructed, ensuring that all citizens, regardless of mobility limitations, can have easy access.
The local community has already expressed positive feedback on the project, noting the improvement in safety and ease of movement in the area. Residents and visitors appreciate the new infrastructure for enhancing their daily lives and upgrading the area's cultural and social activities. The footbridge integrates harmoniously with the Municipal Hall and the Municipal Theatre, providing a safe and pleasant space for all.
Attention to detail, with appropriate signage and lighting on the bridge, enhances road safety, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring comfortable and safe travel for all users.
