Theophilos Georgiades Auditorium, Press and Information Office

Welcome to the Press and Information Office. It is with great pleasure that our Office participates in this campaign of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the State Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy and the Office of the Gender Equality Commissioner which aims to increase the active participation of women in the labour market in professions related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, the so-called STEAM professions.

Undoubtedly, further participation and increasing the presence of women in STEAM professions and in decision-making centres will not only strengthen these professions, but will add to policy-making from a new perspective.

With regard to the Press and Information Office - which aims to upgrade - it is understood that the media today, as always, play a very important role in informing and informing citizens. The main mission of the Press and Information Office is to provide objective and continuous information to citizens, but also to the international community, on all issues concerning Cyprus, the Cyprus issue and the issues arising from Cyprus' participation in the European Union, through the use of all modern information technologies. Our goal is an effective communication strategy, the understanding of the Government's work and its positions and activities, as well as the comprehensive information of citizens on all issues that concern and interest them.

In this context, it is our pleasure to join you in launching this campaign by creating and promoting the videos of eleven successful women, with the hope that they will become role models for young women who want to follow in their footsteps.

The Press and Information Office is at your side, next to all citizens, for whatever they need within the scope of its responsibilities.

I wish you every success in the campaign that begins today.

Thank you.
