[PIO] 2nd Call for Proposals for the Medical Equipment Subsidy Scheme for Hospitals

The Medical and Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health announce the 2nd Call for Proposals for the Medical Equipment Subsidy Scheme for Hospitals.

Purpose

The scheme aims to provide financial incentives, in the form of a government grant to Hospitals, for the purchase of new/new Medical Technology Equipment, with emphasis on the purchase of high or digital technology:

1. to replace existing equipment or
2. to meet additional needs.

Funding

The amount available for the needs of the Project, in the 2nd call for proposals, is €2.384.210,00. The Project is implemented under measure C1.1I3 of the CIP.

Grant amounts

Beneficiaries may receive funding under two schemes, Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2831 (De Minimis) and Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 (General Exemption Regulation). 2023/2831 (De Minimis), the amount of the grant is. 651/2014 (General Exemption Regulation), for the purchase of new/new medical equipment to cover additional needs, the amount of the grant is.

1. 20% of the eligible costs in the case of small enterprises
2. 10% of the eligible costs in the case of medium-sized enterprises

Maximum amount of funding €300.000.

Please note that the purchase of new/new medical equipment for the purpose of replacing existing equipment cannot be considered as eligible expenditure under Article 17(3) of Regulation (EU) 651/2014.

A company may receive funding under both of the above two schemes (De Minimis and General Exemption Regulation) for up to three (3) different investment proposals (through a separate application) under the 1st Call for Proposals.

Beneficiaries

Existing and/or new hospitals which are licensed under the Private Hospitals (Establishment and Operation Control) Law of 2001 to 2022 are eligible to apply.

Interested parties may submit their application/proposal only by registered post or by hand by ensuring proof of receipt. The application form must be completed in full and accompanied by all the supporting documents requested therein.

The application period is from Monday, 17 June 2024 to 28 June 2024.

The order of priority will be determined based on the order of submission of proposals (direct evaluation) and the maximum amount of approvals will not exceed the available budget of the Call.
