I decided to publish this in a separate post.

As with many airlines, if you fly with Aegean via Athens (for example, to Armenia, Turkey or Montenegro) and you have a single ticket, then the connection in Athens is made without the need to have a Schengen visa, you do not need to go through all the formalities at the airport again and re-check your luggage.

A single ticket requires one reservation number for the entire itinerary. In this case, if you miss your connection due to the delay of the first flight, the airline will send you on the next plane free of charge.

If you have 2 separate reservations, for example Larnaca - Athens and Athens - Yerevan (even with the same airline), then in this case, you will need a visa, you will need to collect your luggage yourself, check it in again and go through all the formalities at the airport.

When buying a ticket on Aegean's website, enter Larnaca and your final destination at once, then the ticket will be unified.
