Getting there will be easy. Cyprus Airways is planning to open flights between Larnaca ?? and Базелем?? (Wednesdays and Fridays) from May 10 until October 27. Tickets from 65€ one-way on the airline's website. From Basel to Colmar no more than an hour by train/bus.
