Handcuffs were passed yesterday by the authorities to a young man in Ayia Napa who was found driving with six times the amount of alcohol, than the commissioned one.
According to police, yesterday at around 12.25pm, members of the Ayia Napa Police Station
, stopped a car driven by a 26-year-old man on Tefkrou Anthia Street for checking.
The driver was given a preliminary breathalyzer test with a reading of 141μg instead of 22μg.
The 26 year old was arrested for a self-inflicted offence and after being charged in writing, he was released to be summoned before a Court at a later stage.
