"Because we live in a wild era, where we see a lot of femicide and a lack of respect for the female gender, we should be very careful," the actor said

Yannis Spaliaras gave an interview to the magazine "I" and among other things he referred to his statement about the 4.000 women, which had caused a big reaction.

Asked if he regrets the statement about the 4,000 women, the actor and model replied, "As a person, I have not based my career on scandals. I did not seek to cause a scandal in this case either, but it was done in the context of spontaneity. And if we stay there, I have no issue. However, because we live in a savage time, where we see a lot of femicide and a lack of respect for the female gender, we should be very careful all of us who are in front of the cameras when we make statements. So if we take it as a spontaneous statement I don't regret it, but if we take it that we count women as if they are ice cream or that women are numbers, then yes I do regret it. Every man is special. Women are not numbers. I have to tell you that underneath he asked me if I counted them and I said no. I think and logically you can see it, the number 4,000 by itself can't practically stand. So if we take it seriously, I regret my statement about 4,000 women one hundred percent."
