The singer's statements about the war situation in her homeland
Xenia of the band Rec spoke about how her family is experiencing the war situation in Ukraine.
The singer spoke to the camera of the show "What are you saying now" and said first: "My whole family is there. When I have communication with them, I try to send them my good mood and energy. Once I get off the phone, I make up with myself so I can calm down. It is even more difficult for us because we have been experiencing the war for the last eight years."
She added that in Donetsk, where her family is, developments in the last month have been dramatic.
"There is a shortage of medicine, the mobile phone is not working properly. And sometimes it is dangerous to communicate by text messages, because they are being monitored," she said.
"The last time I went to Donetsk was in August. I was very scared, it was not the best experience. I got in the car with my brother to go to the city, I put on my belt and then, my brother told me not to wear a belt because if the bombing starts, we should be able to run," she said.She also revealed that she lost her grandfather to bombing
