Work is progressing on the construction of the square at the church of Agios Kendeas What the Mayor says
Work on the construction of the modern and functional square at the church of Agios Kendeas[/B], which is expected to enrich the traditional centre of Paphos, is progressing at an intensive pace, according to a post by Pafos Mayor Phaidon Faidonos.
Mr. Faidonos notes that the project includes a playground, with external illumination of the church and other modern facilities, such as replacement of existing pavements, the construction of new paving and sub-bases, the creation of a new parking area and playground, the construction of a lighting, drainage and stormwater management network, as well as the installation of prefabricated sanitary facilities. He also expressed the belief that the site will be an attraction for local residents and foreign visitors.
The commencement of the construction of the Agios Kendeos Church landscaping project followed the signing of the contracts around mid-November between the Mayor of Paphos and the contractor "GASPE Technical Works Company Ltd".
The project is at a total cost of €390,000.
