A paradoxical and probably unprecedented by world standards is making the rounds on the internet in the last hours, as a woman in Palestine was hit by a bullet without realising it and lived with it lodged in her spine for three months.

The woman in question was Andi Bloy, who had not long ago attended the wedding of a friend in the West Bank. During the ceremony she suddenly felt a sharp pain go through her from her shoulders to her feet she explained. "At first, I thought I was pulled, I didn't see that there was a whole hole in my dress," said Addie.

Weeks went by and she still felt a constant tightness in that particular part of her vertebrae, but she thought it was something muscular and that the pain would pass.

It was to be three months before she visited a doctor about her problem and underwent an x-ray, which showed a 5.56mm bullet lodged in her spine.

Addie was literally shocked when she was informed of the bullet's existence, and the news predictably spread across the country within hours.

She then underwent surgery to have it removed. That was the moment she realized that that sudden pain at her friend's wedding was a stray bullet hit.

"This is a story you see in the movies. In no way do you think you will experience something like this in real life. In the end, it happened to me."
