But Robert Habeck made it clear that "we are not leaving Ukraine alone."

We may be on the brink of war in Europe, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Climate Policy Robert Habeck said, referring to the Ukrainian crisis.

"We have large armoured armies lined up on one side and on the other. It is absolutely alarming and threatening," Habeck pointed out, speaking to the ntv/RTL television networks. Referring also to Chancellor Olaf Scholz's upcoming visit to Kiev tomorrow and to Moscow on Tuesday, he spoke of a sign both that "we are not leaving Ukraine alone" and that "we are trying to build a bridge which is not necessarily visible at the moment."
