The diagnosis of Averof Neophytou with covid postpones the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Democratic Rally, which was due to meet on Saturday 12 March to officially confirm the candidacy of the party's presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential elections.
As reported in a previous post, Averof Neophytou announced via twitter that he has been diagnosed positive for covid disease and will therefore remain under restriction, following the prescribed instructions.
Therefore, Averof Neophytou will wait a few more days to officially receive the Democratic Rally's anointment.
It is possible that the DISY Supreme Council will meet a week after the scheduled date, but an official announcement is expected from the party.
