A moving video of a Ukrainian interpreter bursting into tears while translating into German the speech of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been released.

The video of the interpreter sobbing has been posted on the tweet of the former Ukrainian ambassador to Austria.

In his speech, among other things, Zelensky urged world leaders to strip Russia of the voting rights it retains in the UN Security Council.

"Russia's criminal actions against Ukraine bear signs of genocide," he said.

He added that Russia was bombing populated areas, but warned that "we will fight as long as it takes to liberate the country." "Last night in Ukraine was violent, again shooting, again bombing residential areas, civilian infrastructure," he said.

Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against Russia at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague, said Volodymyr Zelensky, the court that resolves disputes between states over international law.
