The Ministry of Health announces that today, 21 February 2022:
2 deaths
Announced 2 deaths
They relate to:
o Female, aged 90 years, who died on 20 February
o Male, aged 80 years, who died on 21 February
Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 825.
164 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in OCHS hospitals
40 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/13 intubated, PICU: 27)
Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 68.91%
27 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an ICU.
Diagnostic tests:
A total of 132,177 diagnostic tests were performed
2,698 new cases were identified (total cases 308,917).
Positivity rate in all tests 2.04%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
9 were performed.456 molecular tests
Resulted in 342 positive cases
Positivity rate 3.62%
Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (Rapid Test):
122 performed.721 rapid antigen detection tests
Resulted in 2,356 positive cases
Positivity rate 1.92%
Tracing:
389 molecular tests performed and 32 positive cases identified (positivity rate 8.23%)
1.042 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 94 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 9.02%)
Private initiative:
1,875 molecular tests were performed, 208 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 11.09%)
63.945 rapid antigen detection tests, 1,512 positive cases detected (positivity rate 2.36%)
58,776 rapid antigen detection tests were carried out through Ministry of Health programmes. 844 positive cases were detected.
Sampling points: 19,094 rapid detection tests detected 468 positive cases (positivity rate 2.45%)
Education
Primary education: 18.536 rapid antigen detection tests, 71 positive cases detected (0.38% positivity rate)[BR] Secondary Education: 10,427 rapid detection tests, 64 positive cases detected (0.61% positivity rate)[BR] Test-to-Stay: 5.498 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 68 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.24%)
Special Schools: 855 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 14 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.64%)
Other
National Guard: 297 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 8 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 2.69%)
Welfare homes: 1 was performed.376 rapid antigen detection tests, 52 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 3.78%)
Closed facilities: 21 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no new cases were detected
Government services: 1.337 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 5 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.37%)
Industrial areas: 293 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no positive cases were detected
