Under the microscope of closed circuits, persons identified for the incidents at "Antonis Papadopoulos" Two persons wanted Police respond for what happened
The police are taking a position on the incidents that took place after the end of the Anorthosis-Omonia derby at "Antonis Papadopoulos".
Investigations are in full swing and two arrest warrants have already been issued for persons who are wanted.
At the same time the Police respond to what is being blamed by the president of Homonia who blamed policing during the derby.

"With regard to last night's incidents in the football match between ANORTHOSIOUSO - OMONOIA teams at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium, the investigators of the case have already proceeded to issue two arrest warrants against two persons, who are wanted for facilitating the investigations.
According to the evidence under investigation, before the start of the match, fans of both teams lit flares and threw stones outside the stadium, while after the end of the match, fans of one of the two teams threw fireworks, stones and firecrackers at fans of the other team. From the evaluation of the witness material so far, a number of persons involved in the incidents in question have been identified, against whom arrest warrants are expected to be issued.
In addition, visual footage from the closed-circuit television of the stadium has been received and is currently being evaluated. If any further evidence is obtained against any other persons, further arrest warrants are expected to be issued.
It should be noted that the police force on duty at the game was such based on the pre-match risk assessment.
The Police responded immediately to suppress the incidents outside the stadium and with the intervention of the anti-riot teams, order was immediately restored.
Regarding allegations by OMONIAS footballers and a member of the OMONIAS coaching team that they were attacked by fans of the opposing team, the incident is under investigation by the Larnaca CID.
According to the information received so far, the persons in question appear, without informing the Police, to have left by another exit than the one agreed with the Police.
It is underlined that the official OMONOIA delegation departed safely, escorted by the Police, as planned."
