In court the two doctors for cataract surgeries - The start of their trial was set for early April - They are expected to answer the charges against them
Before the District Court Nicosia Court the case of 8 patients who were infected[/B] with a multi-resistant strain of pseudomonas after cataract procedures at a private hospital in Nicosia about a year and a half ago.
The two doctors face 8 charges one for each patient, for negligent and reckless acts during medical and surgical procedures.

According to the Cyprus Times the start of their trial has been set for April 6 where the two defendants will be called to answer the charges against them.
The two doctors, however, according to information from the outset that they were called to testify, do not admit any responsibility in the contamination of patients with the pseudomonas strain.
It is recalled that the two doctors were charged following instructions from the Legal Service.
