The Antalya hydrographic station of Turkey issued a Navtex shortly after the Greek Navy announced exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean.
With the NAVTEX, Turkey calls for demilitarization south of the Megisti complex, part of which lies within the maritime area reserved by Greece.
Turkey has reserved an area south of Kastelorizo for 2 February for a weapons exercise.
Recall that Turkish Defense Minister Houloussi Akar fired shots at Greece last week over the militarization of Greek islands and the country's new armaments and alliances, which vehemently annoy Ankara.
