He was fired because of his political positions from the illegal university where Chakitji was working As reported in the occupied territories
The leader of the Community Liberation Party-Young Forces (TKP-YG) Mehmet Chakitji, who has been working for 23 years at the "Near East University" ("YDÜ") in the occupied territories, announced yesterday that he has been fired.
As reported by the Press and Information Office, in an article published by "Avrupa", it is reported that in a post on his personal social media account, Mr. Chakitsi announced his dismissal from the "university" because of the political positions he had expressed on various issues during the "pre-election period" that were not accepted, he said.
During the "pre-election period", Chakitsi had called for "educational institutions" and in particular "universities" in the occupied territories to be taxed, which until now have been exempted, since, as he said, they are granted "incentives and funding".
Chakitzi had spoken specifically about the "university" where he worked, which he had even named, without fearing the price he would have to pay, the newspaper said.
