The last "goodbye" was said today by relatives and friends to the 41-year-old mother, who was murdered on Wednesday by her former partner in the café ouzeri she kept in the Toumba area of Thessaloniki.

The funeral of Vicky Bazouki was held at noon in a climate of deep sorrow in her place of origin, Livadi Elassona, and a large number of people came to the church of Agioi Anargyroi to bid her farewell.

We recall that when the 42-year-old boxer broke into the store at 41 Papafi Street on Wednesday night, shortly before ending his life, he shot Vicky in the abdomen, fatally wounding her in front of the terrified eyes of her two children. In fact, the victim's 20-year-old daughter was slightly wounded by the shot and was taken to hospital.

Friends, relatives and acquaintances of the 41-year-old woman still cannot believe the tragic event and the amount of unjustly passed away. Everyone speaks highly of her, while in the neighborhood of Papafi, almost everyone knew about the incidents and fights that the 42-year-old perpetrator often caused.

Outside the shop in which Vicki kept and the horrible crime occurred, many are those who have left lit candles and flowers at the entrance.
