An incredible tragedy has occurred in the Alps as talented French actor Gaspar Uliel has died at the age of just 37
His death was confirmed by the French media, with the press release issued stating: "Victim of a skiing accident this Wednesday, Gaspar Uliel died."
According to foreign media reports, the actor had an accident on one of the ski slopes in the Alps, from where he was taken to a Grenoble hospital by helicopter. TMZ reports that Uliel collided with another skier and suffered a fatal head injury.

To the general public, Gaspar Uliel was known for films such as Jean-Pierre Genet's The Endless Engagements (2004), Saint Laurent (2014) by Bertrand Bonneau and Exactly the End of the World (2016) by Xavier Dolan, for which he won the César Award for Best Actor in 2017. There he portrayed a writer reunited with his family after a 12-year absence, in which he announced his impending death.
Most recently he was cast as "Midnight Man" in the highly anticipated Marvel mini-series "Moon Knight". Uliel had a 6-year-old son with model and actress Gaëlle Pietri.
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer wrote in a statement on Twitter, "French cinema is losing a huge talent, full of charm and energy".
There was an immediate reaction from the head of the French government Jean Castex, who said: "Gaspar Uliel grew up with cinema and cinema grew up with him. They loved each other madly. It is with a heavy heart that we will revisit his best performances and meet his gaze. We have lost a French actor."
