An elderly couple was found dead in Vorizia in the municipality of Phaistos. Sources say the 95-year-old man and their 92-year-old wife had not given signs of life for some days and were found dead on Christmas afternoon in their home.

Initial estimates suggest that their death may have been caused by fumes from a mangal fumes.
