A thriller is underway since dawn in Thessaloniki, after the discovery of an infant, which was dead.
The infant, which from the first picture appears to be a newborn, was abandoned by unknown persons near rubbish bins outside a cemetery and was spotted by a passer-by.
He immediately alerted the police and the infant was taken to the forensic service for a post mortem.
Police officers are not ruling out that the newborn was abandoned there by the unknown person, a few minutes after birth, while the forensic examination will prove whether the baby was stillborn when he was born or his death occurred much later.
