[Cyprus Times] Three more patients with coronavirus have died. Almost 3 thousand new cases

The Ministry's announcement on new Covid19 cases, hospitalisations and positivity rate - All information for the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 5 April 2022:

3 deaths were announced

They relate to:

o Male, aged 96 years, who died on 4 April

o Female, aged 71 years, who died on 4 April

o Female, aged 87 years, who died on 5 April

Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 949.



207 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

30 in serious condition (ICU: 4 off ventilator/6 intubated, NICU: 20)

Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 56.04%

13 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

A total of 84,718 diagnostic tests

2,987 new cases (total cases 446,999) were identified.

Positivity rate in all tests 3.53%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

3.429 molecular tests

There were 287 positive cases

Positivity rate 8.37%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (Rapid Test):

81 were performed.289 rapid antigen detection tests

Resulted in 2,700 positive cases

Positivity rate 3.32%

Tracing:

1 was performed.573 molecular tests and 60 positive cases detected (positivity rate 3.81%)

567 rapid antigen detection tests performed and 50 positive cases detected (positivity rate 8.82%)

Private initiative:

1.107 molecular tests, 162 positive cases detected (14.63% positivity rate)

31,476 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 1,779 positive cases detected (5.65% positivity rate)

Through the Ministry of Health programs 49,813 rapid antigen detection tests were performed

. 921 positive cases were detected.

Sampling sites: 13,470 rapid detection tests detected 604 positive cases (positivity rate 4.48%)

Education

Primary education: 18.691 rapid antigen detection tests, 98 positive cases detected (0.52% positivity rate)

Secondary Education: 10,582 rapid detection tests, 61 positive cases detected (0.58% positivity rate)

Test-to-Stay: 4.258 rapid antigen detection tests and 51 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.2%)

Other

Welfare homes: 1 was performed.283 rapid antigen detection tests, 51 positive cases detected (3.98% positivity rate)

Closed facilities: 483 rapid antigen detection tests were performed; 3 new cases detected (0.62% positivity rate)

Government services: 479 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 3 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.63%)
