Three hundred and seventy kilos of rubbish from the cleaning of the Sandy Beach of Leba

The AKTI Centre for Studies and Research in collaboration with the Paphos Wave Skating Association (SO.KY.PA), and young volunteers from The International School Of Paphos organized a clean-up campaign at the Sandy Beach of Leba with the slogan "Let's leave only our footprint in the sand this summer."

The AKTI Center for Studies and Research thanked those who contributed to the cleanup at Leba's sandy beach. Xenia Loizidou, Civil Engineer and President of the Board of Directors of the AKTI Centre for Studies and Research, said that our seas have become "soups" of plastics, microplastics are everywhere, we breathe them, we swallow them, we live with them and we must be able to tackle the great danger of plastic pollution together with the other forms of pollution.
