This is a "Greekized" Georgian who was arrested at Macedonia airport How he was caught in the net of the prosecuting authorities
This is the man in the photo revealed by Greek protothema.gr- the man accused of the murder of mafioso Alexander Solonik who was arrested on Tuesday morning at Thessaloniki's Macedonia airport.
The 48-year-old "Greekized" Georgian arrived on 10:58 on Olympic Airways Flight 547 to Terminal 1 from Larnaca and after undergoing an identity check and fingerprinting, it was discovered that he has an outstanding arrest warrant from 2005 for the murder of the Russian gangster and his 19-year-old girlfriend Svetlana Kottova in Lagonisi. Immediately afterwards, without giving him the slightest chance to react, the police handcuffed him.
The Georgian was caught in the nets of the airport police officers after an Interpol tip-off that "gave him away" stating that the person with the data that came out in the name of Karsliadis Ioakim of Vasilios and Nina, born on 30/1/1974, is a wanted Georgian murderer.
Thus, in addition to the formal check he was subjected to a fingerprint examination and was immediately arrested. The Greek identity card, as it turned out, had been issued by the Greek authorities since 2000.
Finally, he told the police that he had travelled from Cyprus to the country to go to a funeral, and ten years ago he had come back to Greece to report to the army.
