Having attracted $35 million in investment, the company was recently named the business with the highest employee satisfaction rate in Germany.

The reasons for a potential career at Blinkist are many.

The company has won a slew of awards from Google, Apple and the United Nations, which have recognized it as an excellent way to learn. Blinkist also answers the burning question of the modern citizen: many people want to read books, but don't have the time. Through 15-minute audiobooks that aggregate a book's information into summaries, the app seems to have solved the problem.

Some of the brightest minds in the tech, marketing, writing and data aggregation industries are behind Blinkist. The startup employs 160 people from 50 different countries. Several of them have moved permanently to Germany from all over the world, including Silicon Valley, to join the company.

The app quickly attracted the interest of several giant companies, including the giant Insight Venture Partners, which had invested in the erstwhile startups Twitter and Tumblr. Blinkist has amassed 14 million users in just three years, and has been recognized as one of the best apps by The New York Times, Forbes, Huffington Post and The Guardian, among many others.

Although there are already over 5.000 "books" on the app, about 70 new titles are added every month.
