Handcuffs were put on two persons from Romania by members of the Nicosia CID in connection with investigated cases of theft from cars in the capital.

According to information obtained by the Cyprus Times, the two foreigners who arrived in Cyprus last month and were staying in Larnaca stole cars with a specific electronic device, which unlocked the vehicles.

The two men were arrested following information about cases involving thefts from vehicles of a particular company in Nicosia.

From the vehicles they managed to extract sums of money and various other items.
