OELMEK Announcement for today's meeting Denounces the evaluation of an Assistant Principal with a grade of 40

The Pancyprian Conference of General Delegates of the OELMEK met today to discuss the various issues arising as well as the issues concerning grading for teacher evaluation purposes.

At the conclusion of this extraordinary conference, the OELMEK announced the following decisions.

1), To denounce the unprecedented action of evaluating a simple B.D. with a grade of 40 (the highest rating), perhaps for the first time in the history of secondary education, challenging the entire educational community.

2), To call upon the Minister of Education and Culture to issue instructions to investigate this matter, as well as other possible favorable evaluations. The OELMEK Secretariat to meet immediately with the Minister of Education, the Director of Secondary Education and the Inspector General of Secondary Education to discuss this provocative action.

4). OELMEK's PGA reiterates our Organization's firm position that seconded teachers who are promoted, as well as seconded B.D. and B.D.A. teachers, must return to schools to carry out their administrative duties.
