It is common in weddings for people who are very close to the couple to make speeches. But there are cases, such as the one below of a couple in Scotland, where the wedding speech can prove disastrous.
Scottish Gary, believed that his brother Derek, who married him, was the perfect person to say a few words about him and his partner Kirsty. So Derek decided to tell a story, which went viral on TikTok.
So Derek recalled some special Christmases by saying: "One Christmas morning, I woke up at my parents' house and walked down the stairs to go open presents. Then mum, she told me that I had been fussing all night, but I told her I was in bed asleep. Apparently, she didn't think that the good boy of the family was home."
And she continued: "So we were in the living room opening presents when me, my mum and dad heard a noise from the small room in the house. Then I walked up the stairs, opened the door to Gary's room and saw him standing over Kirsty, who had her legs up," Derek said, leaving the couple speechless with this poignant revelation.
However, guests found the story quite entertaining, with his speech being viewed over 4.5 million times and the video captioned: "The best punchline from a best man's speech ever."
