They were brought before the Famagusta District Court today, the 18-year-old and the 20-year-old, who were arrested yesterday to facilitate investigations into a number of cases of theft from cars and burglary of buildings.


The Court issued a five-day detention order against them.

The two were arrested yesterday, under court warrants, in connection with the investigation of 70 cases of theft from cars and two cases of burglary and theft, committed in recent months in municipalities and communities of Famagusta district.

A third person, aged 19, is already in custody for the same cases.

It is recalled that, as mentioned in a previous article of the Cyprus Times, a special investigative team was set up by the local Police Directorate to deal with the case.[/B]
