And it's all a coincidence? What else will they predict?

After the attack on the Twin Towers and the pandemic, another unpleasant Simpsons prediction has come true.

They have predicted some of the milestones of our time.

From the pandemic and Trump's election, to the 9/11 attack, The Simpsons have a unique way of falling for everything.

It seems that they had also seen the Russian invasion of Ukraine coming, back in 1998 - it wasn't hard, though.

The revelation came as most do, via Twitter. The episode is called Simpson Tide and we see talk of the Soviet Union, the Berlin Wall going up again and tanks taking to the streets.

"I hate to say it, but I was born in 1961, so I lived 30 years in the shadow of the Soviet Union," said the creator of the hit series, Al Jeen, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "So, to me, it's unfortunately a norm and not just a prediction. We just thought things would go so wrong."

The animator went on to stress that "aggression doesn't go away, in fact, and you have to be ever vigilant. In 1998, when this video aired, we were probably at the height of Russia-US relations."

"But, since Putin came up, almost everyone has made it clear that he's bad and bad things are going to happen."

If they fell for it, what else will the Simpsons predict, I wonder?
