Santa Claus began distributing gifts to children today, boarding a red bus and passing through areas of the Lemesos Municipality until December 31.
TheChristmas-decorated bus, which belongs to the Historic and Classic Car Museum, was welcomed late this afternoon by Limassol Mayor Nikos Nicolaides at Aneksartisia Street, where several children were waiting to receive gifts from Santa Claus.
As Nicolaides said, "the bus will be in the neighborhoods to send a message of joy, optimism and hope to everyone, especially the children.""Santa Claus will distribute gifts on behalf of the Limassol Municipality, so that children can be happy and get into the Christmas spirit, both young and old, because we need it," he said, stressing that we are behaving responsibly in the face of the pandemic "which we will defeat, because we are a responsible people, but we do not forget our traditions and we are happy and optimistic."Tomorrow, Saturday, the Christmas bus will run between 16:00 and 19:00 on Makarios III Avenue, in the city centre, on the coastal boulevard, in the areas of Agios Spyridon, Omonia, Agios Nikolaos and Neapolis.He will also be in the same areas on Sunday, December 19, from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00.Source: CNA.
