In a statement, the Pafos Mayor said that the road connecting Pafos town with the craft area has been completed and that this is being done under the responsibility of Public Works.
The planning of the project, Mr Faidonos added in the statement, began in 2004, tenders were made and that it was expected to start in 2013.
However, he added, due to a crisis it was cancelled, and after many efforts the start was achieved in 2019.
The project, he said, is ready and its cost is estimated at 6.5 million euros and with a delay of 7.5 months from the start date.
Mr. Faidonos added that the Municipality of Paphos is financing the project with 20%. It is noted that the project is expected to alleviate traffic.
