Written statement by the Director of the Press Office of the President of the Republic Anastasiades' programme from next Sunday until Wednesday Meetings, contacts and discussions
The agenda of the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, is full in the coming days.
According to the Director of the President's Press Office, the agenda includes consultations, meetings, including with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, the confirmation ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, while he will also participate in the 6th European Union-African Union Summit in Brussels on the sidelines of which he will have important meetings.
Meeting with Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saoud
On Sunday 13 February the President of the Republic will attend and address the celebration of St. Maron at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Charity in Paphos Gate.
He will then have a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud. The meeting will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between Cyprus and Saudi Arabia as well as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf region.
Ceremony for the confirmation of the new Deputy Chief of Police
On Monday 14 February, the confirmation ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Dimitrios Demetriou.
Then President Anastasiades will receive the annual report of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, Josephine Antoniou.
Meeting with Sir Lindsay Hoyle
On Tuesday 15 February he will meet with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

Afterwards, the President of the Republic will chair a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
He will leave for Brussels and the 6th EU-African Union Summit
On Wednesday 16 February, President Anastasiades will leave for Brussels.
He will participate in the 6th EU-African Union Summit which will take place on 17 and 18 February. At the Summit, the leaders are expected to discuss ways in which the two continents can build greater prosperity.
The aim is to launch an ambitious Africa-Europe investment package, taking into account global challenges such as climate change and pandemics. On the sidelines of the Summit, the President of the Republic is expected to hold important meetings and discuss issues related to Cyprus.
