The Pancyprian Film Exhibitors' Association raises the issue of the survival of its members Discomfort over the new measures announced by the Ministry of Health
The survival of its members is a matter of concern for the Pancyprian Association of Film Exhibitors, which, according to a statement, since the beginning of the pandemic, has sent a number of letters concerning the health measures to contain the coronavirus.
"There is now fatigue but also a need for survival," the association says, noting that "the trampling and exploitation of my profession is a trampling and exploitation of our lives."
It adds that in the 22 months of the pandemic, 12 months the cinema businesses were out of business, 10 months were underperforming with losses, receiving "begging support from the State" and the lost income of the sector amounted to 15 million euros.
As the Pancyprian Association of Cinema Exhibitors states, "you have turned cinemas into vaccination baits, you have exceeded the limits of the institutions of equal treatment and brought us to the brink of collapse". "We are fed up with the confusion of your measures," he concludes.
