The Pafos EBRD is constantly enriching its activities with new ideas and finding solutions to emerging problems, within the framework of its objectives, says the new president of the Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company Kyriakos Droussiotis.

His priorities include further improving accessibility in Paphos, developing tourism and rural experiences, as well as upgrading and enriching the tourism experience offered , mainly by investing in digitalisation and technological tools.

In his statements to the Cyprus News Agency, Mr. Drusiotis also referred to the extension of the tourist season with the aim of establishing the province as a year-round tourist destination and the upgrading of public transport. In addition, he referred to the development of sports tourism, the attraction of university institutions and the upgrading of beaches.

He also said that they will try to coordinate as a province to implement the planning of private and public infrastructure and development projects pending , especially for the road network, the marina in Pottima, the expansion in Latchi and the artificial reef, together with MPs and organized bodies and groups.

I am, he said, in contact, with provincial MPs "with whom I will conclude a round of contacts this week" in the context of mutual information and communication.

In relation to the development of tourism and rural experiences Mr. Drusiotis estimated that there are serious issues that fall under the Ministry of Interior from which they expect, as he said, to be informed whether there is an evaluation and processing of the issues.
