The new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people

The EODY's announcement:

EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 9.213 , of which 21 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.

The total number of cases is 2,508,472 (daily change +0.4%), of which 49.5% are men. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 212 are considered associated with travel from abroad and 1,798 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 51, with a total of 26,194 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 376 (65.2% male). Their median age is 68 years. 88.8% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 262 (69.68%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 114 (30.32%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,304 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 276 (daily change -2.47%). The seven-day average admission is 287 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
