The Ministers of Interior, Education, Justice and Health had the opportunity to discuss issues related to the portfolio of the Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for the Promotion of the European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, in a private meeting with him. The meeting took place on Monday morning at the Ministry of Interior.
As stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, during the meeting views were exchanged on the migration issue in Cyprus and the negotiations for the New European Pact on Asylum and Migration, security in the European Union[/B] and in particular the fight against terrorism and cyber security.
Also discussed were the pandemic situation of the coronavirus in Cyprus, as well as the EU's pharmaceutical strategy with emphasis on the fight against cancer.
Finally, education, skills, culture and research were discussed with emphasis on youth and the link between skills and the labour market.
