The memorandum of cooperation with FRONTEX on migration management, which has been agreed between the Republic of Cyprus and the European Commission and competent European Union agencies, was signed on Tuesday afternoon in Brussels by the Minister of Interior Nikos Nouris, on the sidelines of the second day of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council.
A relevant post by the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU said that Mr. Nouris and FRONTEX Executive Director, Fabrice Légerri, signed a memorandum of understanding "which puts Cyprus-FRONTEX cooperation on a new basis, significantly strengthening the support and operations of the agency in Cyprus."
