The Mayor of Kouklia returns to his duties Under constant control and monitoring
The Mayor of Kouklia Michalis Nikolaou, who was removed from his duties by decision of the Minister of Interior, returns to his duties as of today.
According to a letter from the minister in charge, Mr. Nicolaou will resume his duties from today, March 1, but for a period of three months, until June, both he and the members of the Community Council will be under constant control and monitoring.
An official of the Paphos Provincial Administration will attend all meetings of the Community Council and will immediately inform Mr.Nouris.
Paphos prefect Mary Lambrou confirmed the information, clarifying that the police are continuing to investigate the complaints made both against the community leader by workers and council members and by the community leader against others.
But he added that while there is still no result and since the terms of all the community councils have been extended in the meantime, the mayor of Kouklia is returning to his duties.
