[Cyprus Times] The list of sanctions imposed on Russia grows

The scope of the sanctions imposed on Russia over the war in Ukraine is widening. The EU and the international community are considering a series of new sanctions.

According to new information, EU ambassadors will discuss the issue of sanctions on Russia on Tuesday.

The deliberations by European diplomats comes as the EU is preparing to ban exports of maritime technology to Russia.


At the same time, international agencies are reporting that the scope of sanctions targeting Russian oligarchs may be widened.

As part of the European sanctions on Russia, Dutch internet providers have blocked access to six Russian websites. The websites "Sputnik" and "RT" are included in the list of blocked sites.

The sanctions on Russia also affect Belarus. According to new information, three Belarusian banks will be blocked from "Swift" system.
