The post from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the pilot who has become a myth for Ukraine

War breeds many myths. One of which has been created in Ukraine is that of the "ghost pilot" from Kiev.

None but a few know the real name of the Ukrainian pilot who, according to reports, shot down six Russian fighters in one day and has become a legend among his compatriots. In fact, the country's former president Petro Poroshenko published on his personal Twitter account a photo of the avenger, who, according to Spain's Marca and other media, is real.

He quickly became the hero of his compatriots, with several videos showing a MIG 29 streaking across the sky over stricken Kiev. The six dogfights in which "The Phantom of Kiev" was involved reportedly took place in just thirty hours, something experienced pilots consider very difficult to have happened. Difficult, but not impossible say the Ukrainians who praise their avenger for shooting down two Sukhoi-35s, a Sukhoi-27, a MIG 29 and two Sukhoi- 25s.

Today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted a photo of the "ghost of Kiev" and wrote: "Hello Russian monsters, I come for your souls!"
